Goanese Potato
Ingredients
Boiled potatoes—2 to 3
Tomato-4
Oil-4 tablespoon
Peas-1 cup
Salt- to taste
For Gravy
Coconut- ¾ cup
Red chilies-12
Coriander leaves- 1 tablespoon
Onion-2
Poppy seeds(khaskhas)- 2 tablespoon
Black pepper-3
Cinnamon-3 sticks
Cloves-3
Garlic-10
Method
- Take a pan and put two teaspoon oil. Add cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, poppy seeds, red chilies and coriander leaves to it.
- Saute for 1.5 min on a medium flame
- On an open flame roast onions. Once onions are roasted remove the blackened part and chop the remaining.
- Take another pan add 2 teaspoon oil followed by grated coconut sauté for one minute.
- Once this is done combine all the above saluted ingredients with roasted onion and garlic and form a paste.
- Blanch tomatoes and form a puree.
- Add oil in a pan put boiled potatoes, boiled peas ,tomato puree and paste made before.
- Add water to improve consistency of gravy if required.
- Cook on medium flame for 5 minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.

Mint chutney
Ingredients: Curd-1 cup
Mint-1/4 cup
Garlic-5 cloves
Green chilies-3
Salt- to taste
Method: Put mint, garlic, green chilies, salt in mixer and make a paste to this paste add curd and run mixer once more. Apart From Chapatti this chutney can also be eaten with pakodas etc.
Roasted Chickpea chutney (Bhuney chane ki chutney as referred in hindi)
Ingredients: roasted chickpea-100 gm
Dry mango powder (amchoor)-1/2 teaspoon
Pepper-1/2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Method: Soak chickpea for approximately 8 hours. Roast the soaked chickpeas. Form a paste of the roasted chickpeas. Add mango powder, chili powder and salt followed by some water. Mix thoroughly. You can keep grinded roasted chickpeas beforehand and use it whenever required to make chutney.
Potato chutney
Ingredients: Potato-1/2 cup (boiled)
Curd-3/4 cup
Ginger garlic paste-2 tablespoon
Green chilies-3
Salt to taste
Method: Put potatoes, garlic, green chilies, salt in mixer and make a paste .To this paste add curd and run mixer one more time.(You could optionally include chopped fresh coriander leaves to the chutney.
In all the above chutneys you can replace green chilies for pepper and vice versa as per your choice. one can add ingredients to the chutney as per ones taste. Further experiment is the key to new recipes.

Food: The presentation as
well as taste live up to expectations. It is a cafe offering mouth-watering
food. It is a heaven of food . Their baked pasta, nachos and Bomb burger are my
personal favourites. My friend and her mother are a huge fan of BYD they travel
all the way from West Delhi to North Delhi just for BYD.

Table Reservation: There
is a huge waiting for this outlet as it’s always jammed so it’s better if one
get a booking beforehand. Or you can wait the food will be worth the wait.
Interior :It
is a small place. Although ambience is good. What I like most is they have a
place in their café where they put notes from their customers reviews
Price: Reasonable you
can order a number of dishes and yet nothing goes off the budget .It won’t make
a hole in your pocket.
Timings: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
BYD is a complete package delicious food, amazing
service and no hole in the pocket. What else can we can ask for?
